Our Opinion: The strap game is a complicated one that has mirrored the success of vintage watches rise of popularity over the last decade. Having a variety of strap options to compliment your collection of timepieces is a great way to get a fresh new look. Chestnut Brown: Pebbled textured straps have seen a sharp rise in popularity over the past five years or so but have been around for decades. Due to the increase in popularity of vintage watches in the 2010s, the need for different style straps followed. Textured Pebbled Calfskin straps have been produced for decades in Italy and landed on the wrists of many notable collectors from pink gold Patek chronographs to steel Universal Geneve’s. Like vintage watches, the Pebbled strap simply won’t go out of style. Chestnut Brown brings a classic lighter brown color forward and can be paired with pretty much anything.
